Dutch Blockchain Week (DBW) today announced the dates for its 2027 edition. From May 17–23, 2027, Amsterdam will once again bring together professionals from across digital assets, finance, payments, blockchain and technology for a full week of events, business and networking.
At the heart of the week, the Dutch Blockchain Week Main Summit will return to the Johan Cruijff ArenA on May 19 & 20, 2027, following the 2026 edition at the iconic Amsterdam venue.
The announcement marks the official start of the ninth edition of Dutch Blockchain Week, which has grown from a Dutch blockchain community initiative launched in 2019 into an international business event bringing together companies, institutions, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and industry professionals. The organization is proud that it has grown into one of the top 3 European events for blockchain and digital assets.
Building on DBW26
The 2027 edition follows a major year for Dutch Blockchain Week.
In June 2026, thousands of professionals came together across Amsterdam during a week that combined the two-day Main Summit at the Johan Cruijff ArenA with more than 40 events organized throughout the city.
The week brought together exchanges, banks, payment providers, funds, investors, market makers, regulators, infrastructure providers, technology companies and other organizations from across the ecosystem.
The Main Summit welcomed speakers and representatives from companies and institutions including Visa, Kraken, Bitwise, Mastercard, Chainlink and others, alongside regulators, policymakers and industry leaders from the Netherlands and Europe..
For 2027, DBW will build on that foundation while continuing to broaden its focus across the developments connecting digital assets with the wider financial and technology industries.
Two days at the Johan Cruijff ArenA
On May 19 & 20, the Johan Cruijff ArenA will once again become the central meeting point of Dutch Blockchain Week.
The DBW27 Main Summit will feature two official stages.
The Main Stage will host the larger industry conversations, including keynotes, panels and interviews with executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders.
The Amsterdam Stage will offer a more focused environment for company presentations around specific markets, technologies, regulation and real-world applications.
Beyond the stages, the Main Summit will place a strong emphasis on business development and networking, creating opportunities for attendees to meet potential clients, partners, investors and industry peers throughout both days.
An entire week in Amsterdam
Dutch Blockchain Week extends beyond the Main Summit.
From May 17–23, companies, communities and partners will organize events across Amsterdam, ranging from industry sessions and networking events to private dinners, meetups and community gatherings.
The format gives attendees an entire week to meet and reconnect with the industry rather than limiting those opportunities to two conference days.
The official DBW27 event calendar will continue to expand in the months leading up to May, with companies and communities able to submit their own events to become part of the wider Dutch Blockchain Week.
“The next step for Dutch Blockchain Week”
“2026 showed us what Dutch Blockchain Week can become when we bring the industry together for an entire week in Amsterdam. Moving the Main Summit to the Johan Cruijff ArenA was an important step for us, but it was never meant to be the finish line.”
“For 2027, we want to build on that foundation. Our focus is on bringing even more of the digital asset, financial and technology industries together, while keeping the business opportunities and personal connections that have always been at the heart of DBW.”

A business event for the industry
Dutch Blockchain Week 2027 will continue its development as a business event for professionals working across digital assets and adjacent industries.
The event will bring together professionals from exchanges, banks, payment providers, investment funds, market makers, infrastructure companies, regulators, professional services, technology companies and the wider digital asset ecosystem.
Topics across DBW27 will reflect the developments affecting these industries, including digital assets, stablecoins, payments, tokenization, institutional adoption, infrastructure, regulation, custody, artificial intelligence and emerging financial technology.
